Following the successful online elections held today 12.3.2021 from 8.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m., the statistics are as shown below:-
- Total Voters In The Voters Register: 1,287
- Total Voter Turnout: 655
- Percentage Voter Turnout: 50.89%
- Total Votes Cast: 655
- Total Gross Voters’ Percentage: 100% (1 VOTER =1 VOTE)
The results were as follows: -
- Prof. George Karuoya Gitau with 266 votes (40.61%)
- Prof. Charles Owuor Olungah with 247 votes (37.71%)
- Prof. Joseph Ivivi Mwaniki with 142 votes (21.68%)
In view of the above results, Prof. George Karuoya Gitau was declared as the winner of the elections for teaching member representative Trustee, by PROF. MOHAMUD A. JAMA who was the elections RETURNING OFFICER.
