Every year, the Trustees are expected to declare a rate of return to be credited on members’ accounts. This is normally done after the Scheme’s Accounts have been audited. The interest declared by Trustees for the year 2009/2010 was 12.9% per annum up from 2.5% for the year 2008/2009. This rate of return was among the best in the market due to tight control of costs, prudent investments by Trustees and a favourable economic environment.
